Google AdSense said, NO!

I received an email with the subject:

You need to fix some issues before your site is ready for AdSense

The email goes on to say,

The team has reviewed it but unfortunately your site isn’t ready to show ads at this time. There are some issues which need fixing before your site is ready to show ads.

So I clicked on the Go To Sites link and lo and behold I was rejected because my site/pages didn’t have enough value. WHAT?

Google-served ads on screens without publisher-content
We do not allow Google-served ads on screens:

  • without content or with low value content,
  • that are under construction,
  • that are used for alerts, navigation or other behavioral purposes.

My website is 3 weeks old, and it has two pages and 11 posts, most of the posts are links to my YouTube content and the site is using one of the default templates from WordPress… not enough value?

Definitely, no value at all. If I were an advertiser, I would not pay to be on my pages either. I’m not surprised at all.

This video was helpful too…..

Basically, I have to keep adding content for a while and then resubmit when I have something advertisers might want to pay to be part of.

Google has a whole playlist of videos to help me get things right, maybe it will be helpful to you too.
